August 16, 2024 // Franchising.com // FORT WAYNE, Indiana – Wings Etc. is excited to host a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the NASCAR® Xfinity® Series Cabo Wabo 250 at Michigan International Speedway on August 16-17.
Fans with race tickets are invited to join Wings Etc. in the infield at Michigan International Speedway, where Wings Etc. management will be preparing the brand’s boneless wings and serving mozzarella sticks and sparkling water on the side starting at approximately 8 p.m.
The wings, mozzarella sticks and water bottles are free; fans can make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital via credit card, cash or Venmo. The event will run nightly until the wings run out.
The race weekend fundraiser is an annual highlight for the Wings Etc. team. “We enjoy spending time with Wings Etc. racing fans and sharing their excitement for the energy Jeremy brings to NASCAR Xfinity racing,” said Rob Hensmann, CEO of Wings Etc. “We also appreciate the opportunity to give back. The Wings Etc. Foundation is proud to partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and enable support for their great work.”
The brand also sponsors NASCAR® Xfinity® Series driver Jeremy Clements, who will compete this weekend. This is the fourth year Wings Etc. has sponsored the No. 51 and the third year they have hosted the fundraising barbecue. At last year’s event, Wings Etc. raised $2,500 for St. Jude and hopes to surpass that amount this year.
The Wings Etc. Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization managed by leaders of the Wings Etc. Grill & Pub franchise organization and its affiliates, was established in September 2023 to advance the brand’s corporate value of giving back. Their efforts are driven by the belief that they have a responsibility to make a difference.
