Mark your calendars, Portland Trail Blazers fans!
The NBA has released its full schedule for the 2024-25 season, and there are a few games where the Blazers have a little more at stake.
Here are five games to keep an eye on:
Wed., Oct. 23 vs. Golden State Warriors
On opening night, Stephen Curry and the Warriors will visit the Pacific Northwest to begin the season. The energy will be high at the Moda Center as both franchises are excited to begin the regular season.
Tue., Nov. 12 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Blazers host the Wolves in the first game of the NBA Cup. As we saw in last year’s inaugural event, the NBA Cup can be an opportunity to raise the stakes earlier in the season. Additionally, Anthony Edwards is coming to town, which should make for an exciting matchup.
Tue., 28 Jan. vs. Milwaukee Bucks
It will be Damian Lillard’s only visit to the Moda Center and the Blazers’ only game on TNT this season. Last season, Portland pulled off a major upset of Milwaukee at the Moda Center and the team will look to repeat that this year.
Wed, March 5 @ The Boston Celtics
The Blazers will visit the reigning champion Celtics just once next season, in early March. This time of year, the two teams will likely be heading in different directions, but they could offer a chance to be a spoiler.
Sun., April 13 vs. Los Angeles Lakers
The season finale brings LeBron James to Portland for what could be one of the final games of his career. While this game probably won’t have much significance, it could still create some drama on the final day of the season.
